Arramara Teoranta was established in 1947
in order to utilise the large resource of
seaweed available along the West Coast of
Ireland.
The type of seaweed used is called
Ascophyllum Nodosum, which is more
commonly known as bladder wrack.
Ascophyllum is a brown coloured seaweed,
which grows to about 3ft to 4ft in length. |
